Former First Lady Melania Trump raised $1.4 million in a single night during a fundraiser for the Log Cabin Republicans.

The event took place at Melania’s New York City penthouse in Trump Tower.

“@MELANIATRUMP opened her NYC Penthouse tonight to raise money for @LogCabinGOP,” Richard Grenell, a gay Republican who served in the former president’s cabinet, wrote in an X post on July 8. “It’s the first campaign event ever held at the Trump residence. And we raised $1.4 million in one night. Our goal is to get 50% of the gay vote for Donald Trump.”

“This was an amazingly spectacular event for Log Cabin Republicans and the future of the Republican Party,” the Log Cabin Republicans mentioned in an X post on July 9. “We cannot be thankful enough to @MelaniaTrump for her leadership and support of equality for all. This Republican Party is one for ALL Americans.”

This is the second fundraiser that Melania hosted for the group in 2024.

The first event, held in April at the Trumps’ Florida estate Mar-a-Lago, also helped raise more than $1 million for the group, according to its president, Charles T. Moran.

Former White House official Kellyanne Conway, businessman Bryan Eure, his husband Bill White, and philanthropists Nazee and Joseph Moinian were among the guests at the fundraiser on Tuesday.

The red Valentino dress that the former first lady wore cost $4,000.

In late May, Melania received criticism on social media for promoting Memorial Day-themed jewelry known as USA Memorabilia’s Fortitude Collection.

She reposted the collection on Instagram and X, which includes two necklaces with patriotic images engraved in the pendants.

The Bravery necklace shows a soldier and the American flag.

The Liberty necklace features an eagle flying in front of a flag above the word “liberty.”
