Waze, a smartphone app dedicated to helping you navigate the world, scored a new update on November 29. This update added three nifty bonuses, giving Wazers more options in their travels.

WAZE UPDATE ADDS MOTORCYCLE INFO, OTHER BONUSES

Described as one of the “biggest updates” to the GPS app, Waze’s most notable addition is the inclusion of motorcycles in its vehicle roster. Now, Waze will roll out routes to motorcyclists, giving them the most efficient ride possible. Moreover, these routes will constantly improve, as Waze will gather information from its motorcycle-riding users.

The next addition Waze detailed is the new “Talk to Waze” feature. You initiate this by saying, “OK Waze.” Afterwards, you can ask your companion app any questions regarding your path, add a pitstop, send a report or even get a preview of what awaits you on the road. This feature is readily available in the “US, UK, Canada, Australia, South Africa, Ireland, and New Zealand,” although it currently only reacts to the English language. Additional languages will come later, however.

Waze’s final addition to its skillset is its HOV route support. This allows the app to update the vehicle’s occupants with newer arrival time approximations and other tools. This is a pioneering feature, and the company promises regardless if you’re “riding with one passenger or more; in a hybrid, electric, or clean-fuel car; with a special pass; or a combination of all of the above,” your “optimal route” will be determined. Wazers who are situated in one of 22 sections of the United States or Vancouver, Toronto or Montreal can enjoy this tool right now. Additional locations spanning the United States and Canada will come later.
