WATCH: Sofia Vergara's Son, Manolo Gonzalez, Says His Is A 'Modern Family'

Manolo Gonzalez, 19, holds the distinction of having half of Sofia Vergara's, 39, genes, but it's in Gonzalez's most recent YouTube video that he pays tribute not to his famous mom, but to his father, Joe, for Father's Day.

For awhile now, Gonzalez has been talking about his mother Vergara's life as a television star on his YouTube series, Mi Vida Con Toty (My LIfe with Toty), according to USA Today, but now Gonzalez has put together a touching montage of special times he spent with his dad on the show — clips and videos that also feature a younger, pre-Modern Family Vergara back in her natural blonde days.

Gonzalez calls his upbringing "atypical" since Vergara and her husband divorced when Gonzalez was only two years old, but they remained "best friends" and have still enjoyed countless family celebrations together, as the videos in Gonzalez's montage testify. They struck a deal many years ago — if Vergara wanted to pursue her career in the U.S., she would have to be open to Gonzalez' dad coming to visit frequently and staying with them when he did.

Later Vergara's amicable ex remarried and had a son from the second marriage, who is also close with Vergara and Gonzalez. Vergara split from long-term businessman Nick Loeb, 36, last month, but there have been rumors that they've been seeing each other again, "being super cute and laughing a lot," reports Fox News.

So there you have it — Vergara really does preside over a "modern family" of her own.
