WATCH: NASCAR Diver Ross Chastain Punches Noah Gragson After Kansas Speedway Race

Ross Chastain punched Noah Gragson in the face at Kansas Speedway on Sunday after Gragson complained about how Chastain raced against him.

A video recording of the incident shows Gragson walking up to Chastain after the race, disgruntled that Chastain had hit the door of his car on the track and pinched him into the wall. Chastain explained that he thought he would miss hitting him. Gragson then grabbed Chastain, who punched the stock car race driver in the left cheek. Gragson tried to punch back but was prevented from doing so by a NASCAR security officer.

More officials arrived on the scene and separated the two of them.

Afterward, Chastain spoke about what had happened during the race. “Yeah, definitely crowded him up off of [Turn] 4, and he took a swipe at us in [Turn] 3, and then he came down and grabbed a hold of me, and a very big man once told me we have a no-push policy here at Trackhouse.”

Despite this, Chastain said that he and Gragson had a “very similar attitude on the race track.” The pair are close as they train together on a daily basis.

Chastain placed fifth on the day while Gragson placed 29th.
