Dr. Drew Pinsky has announced that he tested positive for COVID-19. The doctor, who recently apologized for initially downplaying the virus, took to Instagram to announce his diagnosis and shared that he is now in the process of recovering.
“Thanks for checking in on me, I appreciate all the kind shout-outs. COVID is no fun. I don’t recommend it.”
Pinsky previously apologized for calling the virus “press induced” in a televised interview, equating it to the flu. The former CNN host shared that he had been sick for six days and at first received a false negative diagnosis after getting tested, before eventually testing positive. He continued to share a series of informative videos on his Instagram about the medicine and drugs used to combat COVID-19.
