In his latest interview on The View, Donal Trump Jr.,41 , butted heads with the talk show’s hosts Joy Behar, Whoopi Goldberg, Meghan McCain and Abby Huntsman.

Trump Jr. mostly argued about how much his father was “making America great again” and how much hate his family gets from the media. His girlfriend, Kimberly Guilfoyle, joined him on the talk show and defended the Trump family as well. The former Fox News personality said Trump is “getting crushed every day” by reporters.

The hosts were quick to reply that people have gone through worse with the media. “The Central Park Five took a lot more heat than your father has taken, at his hand,” Goldberg said.

As the heated conversation continued, Meghan McCain, John McCain’s daughter and conservative co-host on the show, noted the pain President Trump has caused so many people, including herself. Trump constantly attacked her father, former Sen. John McCain, and has continued to do so even after his death in August 2018.

McCain addressed the character of Trump Jr. and his father, saying, “A lot of Americans in politics miss character, and a lot of people miss the soul of this country. You and your family have hurt a lot of people and put a lot of people through a lot of pain. Does all of this make you feel good?”

Trump Jr. ultimately claimed that none of the pain he has caused makes him feel good, but that at the end of the days conservatives are fighting back and doing what they have to do for the country. “My father is a counterpuncher. As a conservative, I would hope that you would appreciate that conservatives haven’t been known for fighting back for a very long time,” Trump Jr. told McCain.

Guilfoyle remained loyal and defended her beau throughout the interview. “I know the measure of the man and I know his character. I stand for them (Trump’s family) because I do believe their commitment,” she concluded.
