WATCH: 'Certified Young Person' Paul Rudd Urges Young People To Wear Masks In New PSA
“We gotta yeet this virus,” says actor and “certified young person” Paul Rudd. The Hollywood star teamed up with New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) to create a funny new coronavirus PSA urging people to wear face masks.
“So fam, let’s real talk. Masks? They’re totally beast, so slide that into your DMs and Twitch it,” the actor says in the video, in a hilarious attempt to use millennial humor.
By the end, Rudd breaks out of the role and yells to the camera, “Just wear a mask! I shouldn’t have to make it fun. It’s science. Ugh!!!”
The PSA closes out with a pandemic-era recreation of Rudd’s iconic “Look at us. Who would’ve thought? Not me.”
The PSA spread throughout Twitter and racked up nearly six million views in the first day since it was posted.
