Walter Cronkite Dies at 92

Walter Cronkite, CBS News's anchor from 1962 to 1981, known as "the most trusted man in America," died Friday in New York City at 92 of cerebrovascular disease. With a fatherly manner and deep baritone voice, he covered all troubling crises of his era – from the Cuban missile crisis to the assassinations of John and Robert Kennedy to the Vietnam War and Watergate. "I had a pretty good seat at the parade," Cronkite once told a reporter. "I was lucky enough to have been born at the right time to see most of this remarkable century." (Photo: WENN)
