‘The Voice Recap’ Semi-Final Results: Laith Al-Saadi, Adam Wakefield, Alisan Porter & Hannah Huston Advance

On tonight’s episode of The Voice, four contestants moved on as four were eliminated in the seasons biggest elimination yet. Blake started out being very confident with three of his team members still in it. Let’s get right to the results.

The first saved artist was Adam Wakefield from Team Blake. It seemed Blake’s early confidence was warranted.

Alicia Keys performed her new hit “In Common.” She will be joining the show as a coach next season.

We also got to see some out takes from Pink’s week of coaching.

The second artist that was revealed to be moving onto the finale was Alisan Porter from Team Christina. This was huge for Christina as no female coach has ever had a member win the competition.

One Republic performed “Wherever I Go” for the first time on television.

The third finalist named was Hannah Huston, the last member of Team Pharrell.

In the second half of the show, three contestants were chosen to perform one last time for the season’s last “instant save.” Those contestants that weren’t named were eliminated. Mary Sarah (Team Blake), Bryan Bautista (Team Christina), and Laith Al-Saadi (Team Adam) were the ones lucky enough to perform again and all headed backstage to prepare. Sadly, Shalyah Fearing from Team Adam and Paxton Ingram from Team Blake were eliminated.

Mary Sarah (Team Blake) performed first, singing “Something in the Water” by Carrie Underwood.

Next was Bryan Bautista (Team Christina) performing “Adorn” by Miguel.

Finally, Laith Al-Saadi (Team Adam) performed “All Along the Watchtower” by Jimi Hendrix.

As soon as Laith received his comments from the judges the live “instant save” began, with viewers getting five minutes to tweet or retweet who they think should move to the finals. During the commercial break we could see how the voting was going, with Laith getting a pretty big lead from the beginning. It looked like Mary Sarah could possibly close the gap at the end of the commercial break.

Once voting closed, the final contestant heading to the finals was Laith Al-Saadi.

The final four contestants for this season of The Voice are: Laith Al-Saadi (Team Adam), Adam Wakefield (Team Blake), Alisan Porter (Team Christina), and Hannah Huston (Team Pharrell). All coaches will be represented in next week’s live finale starting Monday at 8.
