André Leon Talley, Vogue magazine’s over the top editor-at-large, will appear as a judge on the new season of America’s Next Top Model, and at least two more seasons following. Host Tyra Banks initially asked Talley to judge over eight years ago when ANTM debuted, but he was unsure about the show’s potential and declined at the time. After 13 successful seasons, Talley was ready to sign up.
When asked if the latest winner might appear in Vogue, Talley told the fashion trade paper WWD, "In my opinion, she has the potential. But that’s not my decision, that’s Ms. Wintour’s,” referring to editor in chief Anna Wintour, the real-life inspiration for the editor in The Devil Wear Prada. Talley will replace J. Alexander as a judge, who will remain on the show to coach the contestant’s runway walks. The new season premieres March 10 on the CW. –MEGHAN GROSSO
