During an Orthodox Easter cathedral service in Moscow, Russian leader Vladimir Putin was seen with a large scar on the middle of his neck.

Proekt Media, an independent Russian journal, claimed Putin is fighting thyroid cancer. This theory first popped up when Proekt revealed that Putin is always with a group of surgeons, one of which specializes in thyroid cancer.

This information, along with the appearance of the new scar, seems to give credence to the rumor.

The scar, or a marking similar to it, had been spotted as early as 2020, leaving people questioning whether it is a new scar or a growing wrinkle of an aging man.

Since the start of the Ukraine war, Putin’s erratic behavior has generated much speculation about his health. He has variously been seen gripping a table and fidgeting during meetings and appearing bloated at appearances. Thirty-nine top Russian officials have died mysteriously since the outset of the war.
