After Russian President Vladimir Putin suggested that American conservatives who are trying to escape the “neoliberal ideals” of the West should move to his country, many conservatives are considering the proposition.

Putin said that anyone who is trying to flee the liberal ideals of the United States would be issued with a three-month visa without having to demonstrate any “knowledge of the Russian language, Russian history and basic laws,” according to Russian news agency Tass.

The decree says applicants can apply based on their commitment to “imposing destructive neoliberal ideals on people, which run counter to traditional Russian spiritual and moral values.”

Russia’s Foreign Ministry has been ordered to issue visas as soon as September. Many American conservatives seem to be in favor of Putin’s offer; conspiracy theorist Alex Jones promoted the news on X, formerly Twitter.

“BREAKING: PUTIN JUST DROPPED A BOMBSHELL DECREE – INVITING PEOPLE FROM ACROSS THE GLOBE WHO ARE FED UP WITH THE GLOBALIST, NEOLIBERAL NIGHTMARE TO SEEK SANCUTARY IN TRADITIONAL RUSSIA!” he wrote. “This decree blows the lid off the establishment’s agenda, letting freedom-loving folks bypass the usual bureaucratic nonsense like language tests or history exams.”

While some of Jones’ followers poked fun at him for the post, others seemed interested in the idea of moving.

“This is completely sad that Russia has to offer safe haven to people from the West. That shows how corrupt the West is. How have the tables turned,” one user wrote.

“I would rather be under the leadership of Vladimir Putin any day!!” another added.

Putin’s decree follows another proclamation he made earlier this month declaring that Russian women should have eight or more children.
