Viral Video Of Jim Carrey Coughing Donald Trump Trends After Biden Is Declared Election Winner

In May, Jim Carrey took an aim at President Donald Trump in a comedic Twitter video where the actor pretended to cough in the president’s face. The video began trending again yesterday on Twitter after Joe Biden was formally declared the election winner after the Electoral College voted.

The video showed the 53-year-old coughing on a video of the 73-year-old president during a press conference when he talked about “Obamagate.” Carrey captioned the video “Obamagate? Yo’mamagate!”

“Obamagate” is an unsupported theory that suggests Barack Obama committed treason by ordering an investigation into Trump’s Russia connections.

When reporters asked Trump what he was accusing Obama of committing, he responded with, “Obamagate! It’s a disgrace that it happened. If you look at now, all of this information that’s being released. And from what I understand, it’s only the beginning. You know what the crime is. The crime is very obvious to everybody.”

Carrey has been very vocal about his disapproval of the president since early 2019 when he started to paint caricatures of the president. One caricature featured an angry Grim Reaper giving Trump the middle finger because the creature of death was “jealous” of the president’s “ability to double the death toll” – suggesting that the president was responsible for the deaths of all U.S. citizens from the coronavirus pandemic.

Carrey can now be seen as President-Elect Joe Biden on Saturday Night Live.
