VIDEO: Taylor Swift Tops 2011 CMA Awards

ABC aired the 45th Annual Country Music Awards on Wednesday night live from Nashville, where young country star Taylor Swift, 21, nabbed top the top honor, Entertainer of the Year, for the second time.

“I’m so happy right now!” said Swift when she accepted her award. “This is thanks to all the fans who filled up those stadiums and arenas all over the world this year …. You have made my year. Thank you so much!”

The star-studded event also featured big wins by The Band Perry, who walked away with three awards, including New Artist of the Year, Song of the Year for their hit, “If I Die Young,” and Single of the Year for the same number.

The Voice star Blake Shelton, 35, and his country-crooning wife, Miranda Lambert, 28, were the power couple of the evening, nabbing Male Vocalist of the Year and Female Vocalist of the Year, respectively. “I didn’t think y’all would let me get away with this two times,” Shelton admitted upon accepting his trophy.

The night also featured spirited performances by Kenny Loggins, 63, who teamed up with winner Shelton in a duo of “Footloose,” as well as Lionel Richie, 62, who belted out some of his old classics, including “Dancing on the Ceiling” with Rascal Flatts. Apparently Richie will be the latest music legend to cross genres, with his new duets album, Tuskegee, named after his Alabama birthplace, to be released in March 2012. Singer Faith Hill, 44, also gave her first CMA performance in five years with her new single, “Come Home,” which earned her a standing ovation.
