The first season of the runaway hit show, The Voice, aired its finale on Wednesday night, with Javier Colon walking away with top honors, beating out runner-up, Dia Frampton.
The evening was star-studded, featuring performances by Ryan Tedder of One Republic, Pat Monahan from Train, Miranda Lambert, and Stevie Nicks. Contestant Vicci Martinez first took the stage with Monahan to perform "Drops of Jupiter" before Tedder teamed up with Beverly McClellan to sing "Good Life" and Lambert belted out "The House that Built Me" with Frampton. Green was moved by his mentee, Martinez's, duet with Monahan. "I would like to thank Pat because I knew what a sensitive subject matter that song has for him, and I really appreciate him sharing that song with you because this is a sensitive moment for me as well," he said.
The most talked-about number, however, was Colon's rendition of "Landslide" with Nicks, which got rave reviews from his coach on the show, Maroon 5's Adam Levine. "I told Stevie Nicks I wasn't going to cry on national television," he said, "so I'm not going to cry. That's the coolest thing you've ever done," he told Colon. "I'm pretty speechless. You just sang with Stevie Nicks and that's one of the most beautiful duets I've ever heard in my life."
