You don't wanna miss this — or maybe you do. Aerosmith frontman and American Idol judge Steven Tyler sang "The Star-Spangled Banner" at an NFL playoff game between the New England Patriots and Baltimore Ravens in Foxborough, Mass., on Sunday, but his performance was the kind that that Simon Cowell would have called absolutely awful.
Tyler, 63, strained on some of the high notes while also getting the lyrics wrong — a challenge that seems to plague famous singers nearly every time one attempts the anthem (remember Christina Aguilera at last year's Super Bowl?). Instead of "the bombs bursting in air," Tyler sang "as bomb bursting in air," and instead of "o'er the land of the free" he sang "oh the land of the free."
