Ryan Gosling (pictured) makes his comedic debut alongside The Office's Steve Carell in this summer's Crazy, Stupid Love. The film, directed by Glenn Ficarra and John Requa, stars Carell as down and out Cal Weaver, who's recently been left by his wife Emily (Julianne Moore) and is unsure of how to get back into the dating game. Enter Jacob Palmer (Gosling), a suave, handsome womanizer up for the task of turning Cal into a slightly toned down version of himself. The two strike up an unusual friendship, with Gosling teaching him the tricks of the trade. Emma Stone also stars as Gosling's love interest, the one woman who can make him reevaluate his playboy ways. In the first trailer for the film–in theaters July 29–the Oscar nominee shows off his knack for comedic timing (and doesn't look too bad shirtless). –EMILY EXTON
