VIDEO: Rosie O'Donnell Slams Lindsay Lohan On 'Today'

Rosie O'Donnell is not backing down from criticizing Lindsay Lohan, and on Thursday she was back on NBC's Today to draw comparisons between Lohan and the late Whitney Houston. “I feel very sorry for [Lohan]," O'Donnell originally said on Tuesday. “I think she needs a lot of time away … She’s had a lot of trouble doing every single movie, including SNL."

After Lohan defended herself against O'Donnell's remarks, which were occasioned by news that Lohan had won the highly coveted role of playing Elizabeth Taylor in an upcoming biopic, O'Donnell shot back. "We've all seen what's happened in the last decade and it's tragic," O'Donnell said of Lohan, after saying the former child star was once a "beautiful, talented little kid."

O'Donnell went on to compare Lohan to Houston, who died in her hotel room in February. "Listen, I'm 50 years old, and watching Whitney Houston's funeral I remember thinking why didn't more people say what they knew," O'Donnell began. "We all knew. When she would not show up to do this show, not show up to my show. We watched Being Bobby Brown. It was like watching Sid and Nancy. They were people in the throes of addiction. But all we cared about was the ratings, not that this talented individual, this human being, this mother, this daughter, was worth saving and pulling out of the money market industry and I know only someone can be in control of their own sobriety, but to look at Lindsay Lohan you cannot help but feel for her. I do not think she's untalented. I think she's quite talented."

Lohan responded to Rosie's initial comments on Tuesday night. “It’s funny that someone you don’t know at all can say something so intrusive and so knowing,” Lohan told Access Hollywood. “You know, I did one of my first interviews with [O'Donnell] when I was little. I was so excited.”
