VIDEO: Rob Lowe In Talks To Join 'Two And A Half Men' As Charlie Sheen Blasts Jon Cryer

Charlie Sheen‘s Two and a Half Men costar, Jon Cryer, may be bearing the brunt of his outrage now that he’s made it clear how he feels about Chuck Lorre, the show’s producer, who is in talks with actor Rob Lowe about possibly signing on.

“Jon has not called me,” Sheen told E! Online on Tuesday. “He’s a turncoat, a traitor, a troll. Clearly, he’s a troll …. Is it gonna take me calling him a ‘traitor, juvenile and scared’ for him to get it?” Cryer has maintained his silence during the debacle that got Sheen fired from Two and a Half Men and the show suspended. He did appear on an episode of Ellen last week, in which he joked that his new job would be working the phones on her show. The sketch, however, never mentioned Sheen or any of his recent erratic behavior.

Cryer’s public silence does not appear to be enough for Sheen, however. “Like I said: You’re with me, or you’re with the trolls. Obviously he’s with the trolls,” he said of Cryer. Other cast members have managed to escape Sheen’s wrath. Angus T. Jones (the “half man” of the show), Conchata Ferrell (Berta the housekeeper), Melanie Lynskey (Rose the neighbor), Marin Hinkle (Judith Harper) and the show’s director, Jamie Widdoes, are all decidedly “not trolls” because they each took the initiative to personally call Sheen.

Cryer can’t do damage control by reaching out now, however. What would Sheen say? “‘You’re a little late. Goodbye, troll.’ When I’m starring in multimillion-dollar films and he’s begging me for a supporting role, I’ll say, ‘You left me out in the cold with all of your guilt and stupidity.’

It makes you wonder what Sheen would have to say to Lowe, who is reportedly being pursued by CBS to replace him on Two and a Half Men, reports People. Lowe is currently guest starring on NBC’s Parks and Recreation, and the leap between networks may not be so easy for him. John Stamos, Matt Dillon, and Steve Carrell are other names that have been tossed around, but Lorre has never indicated that the new actor would step into the role of the same character. The show will likely take a new direction with a new character joining the ensemble. —KIMBERLY STEELE

  • Rob Lowe and John Stamos are Sheen approved, after an interview on the Dan Patrick Show. He also gave a sort of apology for the things he said about Cryer. It looks like his verbal attacks might be ending, at least for a little while.
