Move over, Kim, Khloe, and Kourtney. A new Kardashian is making headlines this week. Rob Kardashian, after holding his own throughout this season on Dancing with the Stars, is coming out of the woodwork as a realistic contender for taking the top spot.
Kardashian and his partner Cheryl Burke danced their way to a perfect score on Monday night's show with their freestyle number. "I can't believe it still. I cannot!" Kardashian exclaimed backstage after hearing the news. "I did not expect to get a perfect score tonight at all, especially with the freestyle, which is the most important dance. So, super happy, shocked, and just excited, really on a good cloud right now."
Kardashian's first dance of the evening, an elegant waltz, wasn't too shabby either, earning him and Burke a 27 out of 30 points. This brought his evening's total up to 57, which landed him in first place on the leaderboard. Coming in tied for second were contenders Ricki Lake and J.R. Martinez, both of whom have garnered loads of support in earlier episodes, bringing this down to a tight race, indeed.
Kardashian was supported in the audience by his famous family. Mom and stepdad, Kris and Bruce Jenner, were present, as were sisters Khloe and Kim, the latter of whom made her first Dancing audience appearance since announcing her divorce from Kris Humphries.
