Don't underestimate the power of youthful dreams, mixed with a healthy dose of precocious self-promotion. YouTube sensation Rebecca Black doesn't. The 14-year-old just dropped her second single, "My Moment," which is both a response to her bevy of harsh critics and an indication that she's not about to stop selling herself.
The singer of "Friday," which inspired widespread abuse from the moment it appeared on YouTube in February, isn't fazed by the ridicule. "Weren't you the one who said that I would be nothing?" she begins her new song before assuring that "I'm about to prove you wrong."
Since her last feel-good attempt at fame was slammed by viewers, Black has received support from stars like Katy Perry, who briefly featured the teen in her recent music video, "Last Friday Night." The folks from Glee also covered "Friday" back in May, with creator Ryan Murphy defending his choice to The Hollywood Reporter by saying, "that song is pop culture."
Black is also finishing up a five-track EP to be released next month, according to MTV.com. In the meantime, perhaps "My Moment" will garner Black the respect she's looking for, though with over 100,000 "dislikes" on YouTube in one day, it seems unlikely.

I don't know what it is about this girl that makes me cringe...perhaps her utter lack of talent and unworthiness of fame...or that everything about her is contrived.
She's still around?! This is awful, I wish people would stop humoring her and making her famous.
