In a season finale that shocked no one, former Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger took home the disco ball last night for the 10th season of ABC’s Dancing with the Stars.

Beating out Olympic skater Evan Lysacek, Scherzinger and partner Derek Hough gave a whirlwind and stunning performance to the tune of Proud Mary, earning them a perfect score of 30 from the judges. Lysacek and his partner won 28 points for their quickstep performance.

Before the win, Scherzinger was thrilled at the judge’s responses to her performance – nothing but praise. "I’m just so flipping happy right now," an emotional Scherzinger said before Lysacek’s dance.

Prior to the final two’s dances, the two-hour finale featured performances from former cast members including an overtly sexual dance by Pamela Anderson, Niecy Nash and a disastrous one from reality mom Kate Gosselin, in which she made a second attempt at Lady Gaga’s "Paparazzi" that looked forced and awkward. –ELENA COX

What a great accomplishment to beat an Olympic athlete! Ice skating is similar to dance…….
