Everyone has been buzzing about the new TNT production of Dallas, which focuses on the second generation of Ewings, this time led by John Ross Ewing III (Desperate Housewives' Josh Henderson), who is just as treacherous as his oil baron father, J.R. — portrayed in both versions by television icon Larry Hagman — was in the 1980s.
The new trailer, released by TNT, is as dramatic as it is nostalgic, featuring shots of Southfork Ranch and a mysterious voice saying, "There's oil beneath this land, worth countless billions," before settling on the face of Patrick Duffy, who played Bobby in the former series. Then Henderson and Jesse Metcalfe (who plays John Ross the younger's brother, Christopher) are introduced as central to the new cast and — you guessed it — set up as potential rivals, just like the Ewing brothers were back in the good ol' days. Right when you've put all the pieces together, the famous Dallas theme song begins to play in the background, and Southfork Ranch speeds into focus.
"This show has set a standard that was different than anything that had been done before," Duffy is seen saying in a cast interview while clips of the new show — the ranch house, characters hugging and drenched in spewing oil — flash across the screen.

So excited!
TWO Desperate Housewives alums...and both good looking. Sounds like they're really trying to make this a successful reboot.
