VIDEO: Mama June Shannon Goes Blonde On 'Here Comes Honey Boo Boo'

"Honey Boo Boo" Alana Thompson, 7, isn't the only one in the Shannon / Thompson household that has been getting makeovers — Mama June Shannon debuted on the January 6th Halloween special (just go with it) of TLC's Here Comes Honey Boo Boo with a whole new 'do of blonde locks, dyed on the cheap by her very own kids at her kitchen table.

"Mama, all your bugs are jumpin' out your head," Honey Boo Boo said as she helped apply the dye to her mom's previously grey head of hair. "Smells like boot boo," she said of the product. "And glue. And feet."

While Honey Boo Boo might not have been the biggest fan of Mama June's transformation, her beau, Sugar Bear, sure liked the change. "Hubba bubba," he said. "That's a sexy mama," he added of his new "blonde bombshell" honey.

While Sugar Bear and Mama June were pleased, the kids were more critical. "Mama's hair looks a hot mess," said Jessica "Chubbs," 16. "Point blank, period, a hot mess."

Two more specials will follow in the Here Comes Honey Boo Boo off-season: a Thanksgiving special next Sunday at 9 p.m. EST, and a Christmas special in February.
