It wasn't long ago that controversy surfaced surrounding Lady Gaga's title track to her latest album, Born This Way, and its eerie similarity to Madonna's 1989 hit, "Express Yourself." Now video footage of Madonna's rehearsals for her new MDNA tour show the Material Girl driving her point home by performing a mashup number of "Born This Way" and "Express Yourself."
Madonna's tour will kick off at Tel Aviv, Israel's Ramat Gan Stadium on Thursday, where she is expected the debut the altered number, which begins just like her own old song, "Express Yourself," and carries into Gaga's "Born This Way," with a seamless transition in between. Then Madonna ends the mashup with a few lyrics from her 2007 Hard Candy song, "She's Not Me," just in case anyone missed the point.
