Pop sensation Lady Gaga opened the Grammys Sunday night performing her hit "Poker Face" before being dumped into a "Rejected" bucket and disappearing from the stage. She later came out across a duel piano from Sir Elton John, both covered ashes. Two sang a rousing remix of her song "Speechless" and John’s "Your Song." Gaga didn’t get to make it back to the stage though – she lost the best record, song and album of the year.
John is familiar with collaborating with young stars working in different genres of music on the Grammy stage. In 2001, he performed a surprise show-stopping performance with Eminem, who had angered gay rights activists with his comments.
