Well, Gleeks, it finally happened.

Many have spent the majority of this season wishing and hoping for Glee’s resident fashion icon Kurt Hummel (Chris Colfer, pictured) to find love after co-creator Ryan Murphy hinted that the openly gay student would get a boyfriend this year. Enter Darren Criss, who plays Blaine, a Rock Hudson-esque dreamboat of a performer from all-boys Dalton Academy. A talented actor and singer, Criss has effortlessly entered the fold this season, and his renditions of Top 40 hits like "Teenage Dream" have quickly become some of Glee’s best-selling songs. But music aside, when these two finally took their relationship to the next level on Tuesday night’s episode, it was a moment, of, well, pure glee.

While preparing for a duet at the upcoming Regionals competition, Blaine revealed why he chose Kurt as his partner. “There’s a moment when you say to yourself, ‘Oh, there you are. I’ve been looking for you forever,’” he told him. “You move me, Kurt. And this duet would just be an excuse to spend more time with you.” The two shared a sweet kiss, that after months of buildup, left fans squealing with happiness.

The overwhelmingly positive response was most notable on Twitter, where "They Kissed" became a trending topic shortly after the episode aired. If these two go on a date when the show returns in April, Twitter might just explode altogether. —EMILY EXTON
