Katy Perry premiered the video for "E.T.," the fourth single off her smash album Teenage Dream, on Thursday. It's the most futuristic and elaborate video yet from Perry, which also boats some killer fashion and one very notable guest star.
The clip starts off a bit like Wall-E, zooming in on a robot cast aside in a pile of junk. Hovering above the galaxy's dump is a spaceship that contains none other than Kanye West, who drops his opening verse while enjoying the perks of a gravity-free environment. Perry transforms from an alien into something close to her human form, while slipping through space in some seriously fierce fashion. With elaborate headdresses and intricate makeup designs that reportedly took five or six hours each, Perry is a futuristic alien princess, whose covetable flowy dresses in an array of colors offset her jet black hair. This continues for most of the song, until Perry finally lands down amidst the trash and comes face to face with her robot love (what, no Russell Brand cameo?). Strange yet oddly captivating. Looks like Perry may be giving Lady Gaga a run for her money. —EMILY EXTON
