Adorable Idol hopeful Tim Urban, 19, who earned the nickname "Teflon Tim" for his ability to win votes despite withering critiques from the judges, finally was voted off American Idol Wednesday night at the end of the two-hour Idol Gives Back charity concert. Urban’s winning grin and stylish mop top hair won the hearts of millions and his performances seemed to grow stronger each week.
Joining Tim in the bottom two was Casey James, a big surprise given that he’s been a favorite of the judges in the recent weeks, though his Tuesday performance was deemed underwhelming. The show also featured performances by Annie Lennox, Mary J. Blige and Alicia Keyes, who was the contestants’ mentor for the week.
