Gwyneth Paltrow is finally taking advantage of husband Chris Martin's musical talent. Martin has penned a duet for her upcoming movie Country Strong that she will perform with country singer and co-star Tim McGraw.
"'Me and Tennessee' is a special song that perfectly fits the movie," she told People.com. "It's about a couple who are maybe irreparably damaged," she said. "But then the chorus is, 'Then that old song comes on, together we're singing, forever we're singing, that old country song.' So it's about country music bringing people back together when they're having a difficult time in life."
In the movie, Paltrow plays troubled country star Kelly Canter who has just been released from rehab to go on tour, with the beauty-queen-turned-singer, Chiles Stanton, played by Leighton Meester. McGraw plays her husband/manager, while Garrett Hedlund plays a young songwriter who gets entangled in it all. The movie will be released December 22, 2010.
