Emergency services battled a brush fire that broke out in Manhatan’s Inwood Hill Park on Nov. 13.
The New York City Fire Department (FDNY) said it utilized “multiple units including drones, marine units and brush fire units” to battle the two-alarm fire.
According to the city’s parks department, the 196-acre park at the northern tip of Manhattan is the last natural forest and salt marsh on the island.
Video from Victor Cornette shows a fireboat shooting water at the flames on Wednesday.
All this week firefighters have been making progress in fighting fires throughout the New York and New Jersey region.
