In a sit-down conversation with uInterview, actors Ravi Conyers and Ryan Armstrong from Star Wars: Skelton Crew shared their experience becoming members of the Star Wars franchise.
Speaking about what the two child actors learned from their older co-stars, Conyers told uInterview founder Erik Meers, “What was so fun about Jude [Law] was he’s such a phenomenal actor while still being such a nice person too, and he made us feel so comfortable – and he’s really experienced, too. He really knows what he’s doing. His initial choices are always on point. He’s always talking with the directors. It’s a very collaborative communicative effort for an actor and for the directors and the crew, the people around you, they made it a very collaborative effort, and it was very fun.”
Armstrong jumped in, “I love how spontaneous it was, how they made it on set, it was like every take was something new and different and it was so fun to play off of them. It was such a great experience.”
The two young actors reflected on what it meant to them to become a part of the historic Star Wars universe.
Armstrong said, “We’ve both been fans since day one. I mean, I’ve been a fan my entire life. My dad grew up with it, and he kind of passed it down to me so it was really sharing this experience, going on set together – really exciting.
She added, “To pass this on to a new generation is just such an honor, and I couldn’t be more happy.”
Conyers said, “Yeah, definitely, we’ve always been fans. I was introduced when I was about five, so it’s been a huge part of my life – I’m 13 now, and when I shot, I was about 11 – but yeah this show has been a long time coming now, carrying on the legacy that George Lucas has built for us is very exciting.”
