Pop singer and DJ Chloe Jane sat down to explain her musical style and her goals for her career in her new uInterview.

A DJ, singer and social media star, Jane grew up in Ibiza, Spain, where she started to dance at six years old and play piano at nine. As a child, she spent her summers watching DJs perform, and at age 12 realized her dream to be one. She became a resident DJ at the disco Amnesia in 2017.

Jane described the elements that went into her new single. “My new song ‘Keep Holding On (Set Me Free)’ is a really, really anthemic dance-pop song,” she told uInterview founder Erik Meers. “I wrote it here in L.A. – I’m in L.A. right now – with my friend Zach. It’s a dance-pop banger that I perform live and DJ in the clubs. I wrote this song because I love to make music with uplifting inspiring messages, and this song just set me free – but also like, in life you want to be close to your person, so it’s like this juxtaposition of a record in the lyrics, but it’s a really fun uplifting dance anthem.”

“I just want to make people dance and have a good time and enjoy and make memories,” she added.

Jane revealed what fans can expect from her in the fall. “I have an EP coming out called ‘Dance Floor Emergency’ and the title l track is going to be my next single, coming out September 6,” she said. “And it’s an ‘Emergency’ to get to the dance floor. No matter what is going on in life, get to the dance floor and dance away the problems. That’s my motto.”

The young singer reflected on where she sees herself in 10 years. “Definitely touring the world, releasing albums, selling out [Madison Square Garden], performing, having my own product line, fashion line, makeup line, DJing and singing, and having a live show but also being able to do festivals DJing and collaborating with some really cool artists,” she said. “I love Lady Gaga, Dua Lipa, Charli XCX and Tove Lo, also I love DJs like Martin Garrix and David Guetta and Calvin Harris.”

“Combing these two worlds of pop and electronic is my goal in life,” she concluded.
