The Long Game documentary follows the true-life story of five teenage Mexican-American caddies who wanted to learn how to play golf. They created their own golf course in the South Texas desert and, without formal training, managed to compete and win against wealthy teams in the 1957 Texas State High School Golf Championship.

Dennis Quaid plays Frank Mitchell, the boy’s assistant coach, in the film.

In an exclusive interview with uInterview at the South By Southwest premiere of the film in Austin, Texas, Paulina Chávez discussed her favorite scene.

“Oh my goodness, ok so there’s a scene where we go to like water towers and that was so much fun,” she said. “It was so high but the view is so beautiful and it was just great and we had stunt doubles and we had people with harnesses having us walk on the things and everybody was so nervous but I had a blast.”

Chávez also revealed what it was like working with Eva Longoria in her upcoming project, Alexander And the Terrible, No Good, Very Bad Day.

“I’ve worked with her before, for Ashley Garcia, she directed two episodes. She’s amazing, she’s absolutely incredible and she is like a mentor. I can call her up and ask her for advice if I have any troubles.” She added in some advice from her mentor, “Oh my goodness, don’t tiptoe around uncomfortable subjects like the color of our skin representation.”
