The official 2011 spring cast for the hit show Dancing with the Stars was announced Monday night on ABC during The Bachelor. Certain suspicions were confirmed, as former Cheers actress, Kirstie Alley, 60, and reality star Kendra Wilkinson, 25, were announced as competitors. '80s "karate kid" Ralph Macchio, 49, will also compete, as will pro wrestler Chris Jerico, 40, and talk show host Wendy Williams, 46.
Sports stars will fill three more of the coveted roles, including former Steelers wide receiver and 2006 MVP Hines Ward, 34, legendary boxer, Sugar Ray Leonard, 54, and basketball player and rapper Romeo Miller, 21, who was supposed to appear on Season 2 of the show but had to be replaced by his father, Master P, due to a sports-related injury. L.A. radio personality and Loveline co-host, Mike "Psycho" Catherwood, 31, will round out the male cast.
Also competing will be Disney sweetheart Chelsea Kane, 22, from Jonas L.A., and 2004's Sports Illustrated: Swimsuit Issue cover girl, Petra Nemcova, 31, who made headlines when her fiance was killed in the Indian Ocean earthquake of 2004.
The new dancers will kick off on the Dancing with the Stars Season 12 premiere on March 21, 2011. —KIMBERLY STEELE
