Local police and neighbors teamed up to save a woman from a fire that broke out in her house in Fresno, California, on Dec. 8.
The Fresno Police Department said that neighbors knew an elderly woman lived in the house, so they decided to break a front window into the living room to reach her. One of them found her in a room and started to drag her toward the front of the house, but had to stop as he was overcome by smoke.
Officers then arrived to help and were able to get the woman out through the window.
Police said that the cause of the fire was under investigation.
