Video Appears To Show K-Pop Band Omega X Assaulted By CEO Of Management Firm, #ProtectOmegaX Trends

On Monday, SBS Entertainment News released footage allegedly depicting the verbal and physical assault of K-Pop band, Omega X, by their management agency’s CEO.

The footage is just the latest allegation of abuse surrounding the 11-member South Korean boy band and their management.

The video was recorded after an October 22 concert in Los Angeles.

The group can be seen standing in a parking lot and at one point, one member seems to collapse or seek refuge on the ground.

Fans on Twitter have become worried for the band’s safety after the video emerged and rumors circulated that the band did not board their return flight home from the U.S. on Monday.

The hashtag #ProtectOmegaX has been widely used on Twitter.

K-Pop fans are known for mobilizing online.

During Donald Trump‘s 2020 presidential campaign, TikTok users and K-Pop fans claimed responsibility for an embarrassingly low rally attendance in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

K-Pop fans online said they shared Trump’s ticket registration link, encouraging people to register without any plans of actually attending.

The K-Pop community is once again using the Internet to disseminate information regarding the well-being of Omega X in hopes of raising awareness about the group’s alleged mistreatment.

Omega X first debuted in June 2021. Many of its members had previously performed individually on survival shows or with other groups.

Their first full studio album, Story Written in Music, was released in June.

The group’s official Twitter has yet to make a statement commenting on this controversy.
