Amid all of the breakup rumors, Angelina Jolie and her brother, James Haven, posted a video on YouTube Tuesday as a tribute to their mom, Marcheline Bertrand, who died of cancer three years ago. The video became so popular that the two removed it and sent it back to the family archives. The video titled To Mom With Love featured footage of the family in Hawaii, their mom’s favorite place, with Israel Kamakawiwo’ole’s version of “Somewhere Over The Rainbow” playing in the background.
Angelina, who is estranged from her father actor John Voight, was extremely close to her mom, and admitted that she suffered a lot when she died just before the release of The Changling. "I lost my mother a few months before the film and my character was very much like my mother," the actress said. "My mother was very passive in many ways and as a woman she was very shy, but when it came to her children she was a lioness. It was a way to revisit my mother and spend time with her. It was very nice and very healing for me." –MANDY COHEN in London
