Haley Reinhart said goodbye to American Idol last Thursday night, leaving Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina to compete for the top spot in next week’s finale.
Though she sported a look of shock upon hearing the results, Reinhart stayed positive as she bid the audience farewell.
"This is the biggest platform anybody can ask for, and I rocked it out. And I had a blast. And this is only the beginning." The 20 year-old singer ended with a blues rendition of Elton John’s "Bennie and the Jets."
The coin flip to determine the performance order for the final competition gave McCreery first pick, but the southern gentleman deferred the choice to Alaina, who wisely picked the second spot.
