Several people were injured and multiple structures were impacted by a “fast-moving” brush fire burning in California’s Ventura County on Nov. 6, according to the Ventura County Fire Department (VCFD).
The Mountain Fire, which sparked on Wednesday, prompted evacuation orders across Ventura County, including in Somis, Saticoy and West Camarillo, as it presented an “immediate threat to life,” according to Cal Fire.
Footage shared by Southern California’s Quick Reaction Force Program shows helitankers dropping fire retardant on the wildfire.
As of Wednesday evening, the Mountain Fire had burned over 14,000 acres and mobilized 140 firefighters, the VCFD said.
