VICTORIA DE LESSEPS ARRESTED ON DWI CHARGE
Victoria was pulled over by police in Sag Harbor, New York, on April 7. She was driving at night without her headlights on and blew an alleged .15 into breathalyzer at the police station. The legal limit is .08. She was released the following morning without bail.
Victoria is due in court on May 5. “I look forward to defending her vigorously in court,” her attorney Edward Burke, Jr. told Page Six.
Luann has a home in the Sag Harbor area. In Dec. 2016, she wed Tom D’Agostino in Palm Beach, Florida. The Countess shared a photo to Instagram over the weekend of her children, captioned, “Enjoying my kids and family.”
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Yolanda Hadid went through a similar experience when her daughter Bella Hadid was charged with a DUI at 17. “I don’t think in the 19 years of being a parent, I’ve felt that collapse inside,” Yolanda said in 2014. “I’m so disappointed by her choice. How did she make that decision? I thought the last thing that would ever happen would be for Bella to have a drink and get in a car.
“I decided to take her phone away, make her pay for her own lawyer bills from her savings, and we sold her car,” Yolanda said at the time. “Life taught her that sometimes good people make bad choices but that it doesn’t mean they are bad people…it means they are human.”
