Victoria Beckham is shielding her young daughter Harper from cyberbullying by not letting her go on social platforms at all. Beckham spoke with Vogue Australia about the parenting decision.

Beckham admitted that the prospect of Harper, 10, joining social media is “quite terrifying,” speaking from her experience of “how cruel people can be.” She is particularly protective of her daughter because “she’s at that point where her body is going to start changing, but it’s about making sure we communicate as a family and she surrounds herself with nice friends.”

Despite Harper’s love of makeup, Beckham said her daughter was “quite disgusted” by some skimpy outfits that she wore during performances for her girl group The Spice Girls. “She actually said to me recently, ‘Mummy, I’ve seen some pictures of you when you were in the Spice Girls and your skirts were just unacceptable,” Beckham recalled.

“I said, ‘Are you never going to wear skirts like that?’ She said, ‘Absolutely not.’ We’ll see,” the model and fashion designer joked.

Harper is the youngest of Victoria and David Beckham’s four children. They also have Cruz, 17, Romeo, 19, and Brooklyn, 23, who recently married actress Nicola Peltz.

Victoria shared a sweet story from an Easter vacation they took in 2021. “We’d had a drink the night before, me and David, and we’re kind of stumbling around the garden planting easter eggs, and I remember Brooklyn standing outside his room watching us. he turned around to Nicola and said ‘I wanna be like that. I want what my mum and dad have got.”
