Vicki Gunvalson, the Real Housewives of Orange County star, talked about her recent split from Brooks Ayers during an appearance on Andy Cohen‘s Watch What Happens Live.

Vicki Gunvalson On Brooks Ayers Breakup

Cohen, who produces the Real Housewives series, wanted to know what contributed to Gunvalson’s breakup with Ayers. Among the factors was that Gunvalson’s daughter Briana was never a fan of his.

“There was a lot of things,” Gunvalson said. “I just think that the conflict with Briana, and him and I and him being from the South, he really wanted to go back to the South, and I just think the stress of the show, and he’s sick, and at the end of the day it just didn’t work anymore.”

“Long-term, we were not gonna work,” Gunvalson added. “Short-term, it was amazing.”

Gunvalson, who was dumped by Ayers, had a breakdown on the Real Housewives of Orange County season finale. The drama centered around the speculation that Ayers may not have cancer, as had been claimed. “Satan is the author of confusion,” she told the camera, adding, “I know the truth. And I will pray for everyone that’s confused.”

Through tears later on, Gunvalson, who recently lost her mother and had been worrying about her boyfriend’s health said, “You know what the truth is? I’m not doing good. I’m really, really sad and all this stuff is just disgusting minutiae.”

Referring to her Real Housewives pals continued detective work and resulting gossip about her life – including the recent split from Ayers – Gunvalson told Cohen that they’re nothing but fake friends.

“They’re not there for me,” she said. “That makes me realize that we’re just TV friends I guess, I don’t know.”
