Vanessa Hudgens Blasts Paparazzi Who Photographed Her New Baby With MLB Star Cole Tucker

Actress Vanessa Hudgens and professional baseball player Cole Tucker have announced the birth of their first child.

Hudgens, known for her role in the High School Musical franchise, shared the news via Instagram on Thursday. “Mom, Dad and baby are happy and healthy,” she wrote in a brief statement.

The couple has not disclosed the child’s name, sex or birthdate. However, they were spotted leaving a Santa Monica hospital on July 3, which coincided with Tucker’s 28th birthday. Photos published by tabloids showed Hudgens in a wheelchair, holding a bundled infant.

In response to the paparazzi images, Hudgens expressed disappointment over privacy concerns. “We’re disappointed that our family’s privacy was disrespected and exploited during this very special time due to the greed of a long lens camera feeding the media,” she stated in a July 4 social media post.

The 35-year-old actress first revealed her pregnancy at the 2024 Oscars in March, debuting her baby bump on the red carpet. She wore a black, long-sleeved gown that accentuated her growing belly.

Hudgens recently told E! News about her excitement about sharing her work with her future children. “I’ll show my kids all my work,” she said. “That’s why I chose things along the way in my career. I wanted to make sure that when I did have kids, there would be something for them to watch at every age.”

The couple’s relationship became public in November 2020. They married in a private ceremony in Tulum, Mexico, on December 2, 2023. In an interview with Vogue, Hudgens described their wedding as “magical” and expressed gratitude for the intimate celebration. “I am so grateful that we got to have a private wedding,” Hudgens told the outlet. “Literally talking about it right now, I’m getting teary-eyed. I couldn’t have dreamt it to be any better. I knew it was going to be magical, but it exceeded my expectations.”
