‘Vanderpump Rules’ Star James Kennedy’s Lawyers Challenge Accusations Of Domestic Violence After Arrest

James Kennedy, known for his role on the reality show Vanderpump Rules, whose real name is James Kennedy Georgiou, was arrested on Tuesday night after accusations of domestic violence.

Police in Burbank, California, were sent to a nearby house after a witness called to report seeing a couple fighting and the man grabbing the woman violently.

A spokesperson for the police confirmed, “On December 10, 2024, at about 11:30 pm, Burbank Police were dispatched to a residence regarding an argument between a man and a woman. The investigation determined it was a domestic incident, leading to Mr. Georgiou’s arrest.”

The spokesperson for the police continued, “Mr. Georgiou was booked for misdemeanor domestic violence and later posted bail. Formal charges are pending review by the Burbank City Attorney’s office.” 

Georgiou was charged and released for a $20,000 bail. 

On December 13, Georgiou’s attorneys announced that they were investigating the incident along with the police.

“We are in the process of conducting our own investigation into the allegations levied by the Burbank Police Department against James,” they said in a statement. “We understand that there were no injuries and we are hoping that, after careful review, the city’s attorneys will decide not to file formal charges.”

Georgiou began dating Ally Lewber, who was not specified as the woman in the incident, at the beginning of 2022, a little over a month after his engagement to his Vanderpump Rules co-star Rachel Levies fell through.

Georgiou and Lewber were seen at Kathy Hilton’s holiday party earlier that evening, and several party-goers reported that the couple were rarely together and unaffectionate in each other’s presence.

However, sources close to Lewber told TMZ that despite the controversy, Lewber and Georgiou have no plans of breaking up, and that the whole incident was a misunderstanding on the neighbors’ part.

Last week, Bravo announced that it would replace the entire cast of Vanderpump Rules with a new cast.
