‘Unrecognizable’ Jessica Simpson Flooded With Harsh Comments Over Latest Photo Accusing Her Of ‘Ruining’ Her Looks With Ozempic Use

In a new photo posted to Instagram, Jessica Simpson celebrated her return to the music scene with a picture of herself in the recording studio. 

Simpson posed at a slant angle on a chair with smokey-eyed makeup and a white silk top and bottoms paired with fishnets, a black blazer and cowboy boots. She captioned the photo, “I can’t wait for y’all to hear the soundtrack of my soul.”

Despite Simpson’s exciting return to music after over a decade, many internet users chose to fixate on the difference in her physical appearance from previous years and her post was flooded with harsh comments that condemned Simpson for her alleged physical alterations.

This is not the first time Simpson has been bashed for supposedly having work done. Earlier this year, Simpson – who has had three children with her husband Eric Johnson –  received similar responses when she posted a photo of herself in a tight dress and viewers immediately claimed she had used Ozempic or surgery to lose weight and “ruined herself’ with artificial work.

Amid the comments that slammed plastic surgery and Simpson’s new look, a few dedicated feminists defended the actress and singer’s decision to do with her body as she so pleases. Some keen internet users also pointed out how the uproar over Simpson’s physical appearance has effectively worked to distract the public from celebrating the accomplishments of a woman in the industry, particularly a woman over 30.

Simpson posted another photo from the recording studio last month, which she captioned, “The comeback is personal, it’s an apology to myself for putting up with everything I dodged not deserve.”

Rumors have long been circulating that Simpson and Johnson have split.

Simpson started acting at a young age and grew in popularity after her time on the MTV reality show Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica alongside her then-husband Nick Lachey. She is known for her roles in The Dukes of Hazzard and That 70s Show, among others. In addition to her acting career, Simpson has released seven studio albums, sold over 20 million albums worldwide, and launched a fashion line titled The Jessica Simpson Collection, generating over $1 billion in revenue.
