uInterview, Inc. announced Friday that the uInterview Pre-roll Marketplace sold a record-setting 58.597 million video ads in the third quarter. “We are thrilled by the huge success of the uInterview Pre-roll Marketplace,” said uInterview Founder Erik Meers. “Our commitment to put publishers first in the video ad equation has clearly hit a responsive chord. We expect to see growth in the Marketplace continue to accelerate as we add new sites and buyers each day. Our success in ad sales provides a powerful halo effect for our already-strong video syndication business.”
uInterview began creating direct ad deals with video advertisers over two years ago in order to get better rates for its websites and syndication partners carrying its videos. That commitment escalated last year when it opened a private RTB (real-time bidding) exchange on the Adap.tv (now AOL One) platform to better connect with its buyers. Initially, the Marketplace was just for sites carrying its videos, but the company soon found that many more wanted access to its preferential rates. The uInterview Pre-roll Marketplace now provides ads to over 30K websites per month from over 1200 top buyers worldwide.
Much of Q3’s explosive growth was fueled by the uInterview Marketplace’s decision to sell Mobile and Mobile App ads for the first time. Growth in the Marketplace is expected to continue to surge through Q4, which is typically the strongest month for video ad sales.
uInterview, Inc. owns and operates uInterview.com and uSports.org as well as its video syndication service, uInterviewTV.
