Tyler Perry shared the tribute video he made for Bobbi Kristina Brown on Facebook on Friday, Sept. 4, at the request of the Houston family.

Tyler Perry Shares Bobbi Kristina Tribute Video

Perry, who was close friends with Whitney Houston and continued to maintain a relationship with her daughter, Bobbi Kristina, after Houston’s death, made the tribute video for Bobbi Kristina’s private funeral. Bobbi Kristina, daughter of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, died on July 26 at the age of 22, after she was found unconscious in the bathtub of her home earlier this year. A private funeral was held for Bobbi Kristina on Saturday, Aug. 1, in Georgia.

Perry spoke at Bobbi Kristina’s private funeral, and, though his words remain private, the director has now released the tribute video he made to honor Bobbi Kristina. Perry shared the 3-minute video on his official Facebook page on Friday at the request of Bobbi Kristina’s family.

“The Houston estate asked if I would share this tribute that I put together for Bobbi Kristina’s private funeral. On behalf of the Brown and Houston families, we would all like to thank you for your prayers and support. God bless,” Perry wrote.

The video opens with a title card, declaring the video “A Celebration of our Princess,” followed by a quote from Bobbi Kristina.

“I hope you feel my love, pain, beauty, agony at times, blessings all the time. No one understands me. And I don’t expect them to, but I will try to spread my love and my story through words and this blessing of a powerful voice mom has given me,” the quote read.

The video continues, featuring family photos of Bobbi Kristina with her parents throughout her life, as Houston’s “You Were Loved” plays in the background.
