“What Pet Should I Get“ a new Dr. Seuss book which was published last Tuesday, has inspired a new segment on Jimmy Kimmel Live featuring Tyler, The Creator.
To celebrate the new book which is believed that was written between 1952 and 1962, Jimmy Kimmel brought the rapper to his show to rap a few pages off the book, dressed in a Cat in the Hat costume. The segment made for a hilarious Tyler squinting into the teleprompter and awkwardly rapping to the book. “You see how it is/ when you pick out a pet/ how can you make up your mind/ what to get,” Tyler “rapped” with not one hint of rhythm.
It took three tries, and Kimmel repeatedly telling him to get more “flow,” but Tyler finally got it, calling the TV hosts skit “wack.”
“Dr. Seuss would be very proud,” joked Kimmel.
Tyler also rapped songs from his No. 1 album, “Cherry Bomb” which was released by Odd Future Records last April, the title track, “Cherry Bomb” and “Smuckers.”
