Rapper Azealia Banks has been controversial in the past but she may have just outdone herself. Fans are horrified over Banks digging up her dead cat and cooking it while she filmed the whole thing on Instagram.
“Lucifer 2009-2020. My Dear kitty,” Banks captioned one of two now deleted posts. “Thank you for everything. A legend. An icon. Forever a serial serve.” The videos show the “212” rapper boiling her dead pet. She also posted a picture of the animal’s skull hanging on her wall. The cat was buried three months ago when she passed away.
“Is Azealia Banks really digging up her dead cat and cooking it on instagram right now?” one concerned fan commented.
“Azealia Banks dug up her dead cat cooked it… I have no words 2021 is not the year,” wrote another.
Banks has made bizarre headlines in the past, specifically pertaining to animals. Five years ago she performed a brujeria ritual in her closet stating that “real witches do real things” and cleaned up three years worth of chicken blood from her floors.
Twitter users had a field day tweeting memes of their reactions of what Banks did. “I close twitter for 3 hours and come back to azealia banks cooking her dead cat,” tweeted one user. “The cats at the adoption center when they see azealia banks come in,” wrote another. A third tweeted, “Scrolling through Instagram and seeing Azealia Banks boiling her dead cat.”
